Playing audio and video in IE

I have searched all over Microsoft and Google.
How do I play audio and video in my web browser? It's IE6

Hii, the IE browser shd support playing of media files thru windows
mediaplayer in IE if u want to play other media files not supported by
windows media player u need to download there plugins.

Also go to IE > Tools > Internet Options > Advanced
check if there is a tick (enable) beside play sounds videos in webpages if
this is disabled you can hear or view sounds or videos of webpages. these
setting is kept to prevent useless bandwidth expense from many sites adding
background music n stuff.
