Hey everyone,

I would like to play a windows media video file in a pp slide presentation.
Right now, there is a black box that begins playing when a person mouse
clicks. Is there a wiser way to do this that will have a cleaner
presentation look & feel? (Can I cover it with a graphic that slides away to
play the video?)

I'm using Power Point 2000.

TIA,
Greg

Unless you have a very slow computer, the problem is that the opening frame
of your movie is a black screen. If you have access to an editor, you can
clip that off the movie, or replace it with frames the color of your slide
background.

Have you tried using the "Play with custom animation settings" option? Then
you can choose "Hide while not playing" to keep the movie out of sight until
the user clicks. The advantage is that the movie doesn't have to be visible
for the user to start it, and the user can click anywhere - even a space-bar
or arrow key will start the movie.
