Playback of saved movies is color saturated

New XP system running Sapphire Catalyst driver on Radeon 9600 128mb card,
Pentium 4, 1 gb RAM , etc.

Downloaded short clips from Canon Ixus 300 thru MM card slot. No problems
with playing clips directly or previewing them in MM, but when they are saved
by MM the playback is color saturated (looks like a negative).

I updated the driver but that hasn't worked. I tried reducing the hardware
acceleration but that didn't work either.

Other than changing software, any ideas?
