play fast forward divx files ?

is it posible to play fast forward a normal divx file just like it is
in windows media player for wmv files when one can set a variety of
speeds ?

i downloaded divx player but it for ff shows only fast changing
pictures without sound

Media Player Classic can play at different speeds, complete with
chipmunk voices.
 
Ceremus suite and VLC media player both do this .. I'm using Ceremua at
home and VLC on my laptop right now playing an Xvid of a home movie ..
when you fast forward on VLC you need to press the fast reverse button
the same amount of times as you pressed it to go forward.. I can't
access Ceremu right now but I think it's the same for that also.

The BEST program to do this is BSplayer.... it goes beyond what others can
do, since
this supports incremental speeds FF and RW like a video with jog shuttle
has,
and you can even program it to work with your MOUSE WHEEL
increasing -reducing speeds
with the wheel

On the official website they have added adware to the program (the free
edition)
