plain text as attachment?

Starting yesterday, most of the e-mails I receive that are
plain text show up with a .txt attachment that is the same
as the body of the e-mail.

Is this an outlook setting?

Go to Tools, Options. On Preferences tab, click E-mail
Options. On lower half you will see "On replies and
forwards" "When replying to a message" Do Not have "Attach
original message." I think that is what controls this.
