I am trying to get one System back on same network that has somehow
been subjected to an IP change from 192.168.1.XX to 192.168.15.xx. I am
able to make the changes to the same as the other Systems but this does
no good and I can no longer connect to Internet. I have been trying to
solve this difficulty for some time but have been unsuccessful. Google
shows many post regarding IP changes but none seem to address this
particular set of circumstances.
Does anyone from this group have any new ideas as to what I must do?

Thanks for any insight.

I would check the DNS settings first. Posting the result of ipconfig /all here may help. Or these link may help,

How to troubleshoot the Internet Access issues
You just setup a network and all networking computers can see each other. However, you have one of some following issues:

1. None of the networking computers can access the Internet.
2. Only one of two computers can access the Internet.
3. Cannot access some web sites.

.. I have had this LAN running for years. All has been well until
recently. I am unable to use System Restore due to error which I hope
to remedy soon. All Systems connect to Internet. One however has been
placed on different network possibly due to installation of Lynksys
Wireless-G Printer Server software. The Printer Server works on two
Systems that can connect show two DNS 68.87.71.226 and 68.87.73.242.
System in question shows IP 192.168.15.X with DNS Server 192.168.15.1
while other Systems are together on 192.168.1.X. I type at com line
ipconfig /all but the window disappears instantaneously. When I change
IP and DNS to reflect other Systems configuration I have no connection
to Internet or LAN on System in question. All Systems Show identical
setting but problem remains. I must set System to independent network
settings to connect back to Internet. All are on same 255.255.255.0 SNM
and same workgroup. I have not been able to locate option to change
workgroup names if I needed to. I had been able to make all setting
changes when I used Win98 but have never had to on WinXP Pro. All
Systems are Intel and use identical onboard NIC. Older P4 shows driver
ver. 7.0.26.0 while other System shows ver. 7.1.12.0 if that makes any
difference. I have tried to update older driver but was unsuccessful. I
tried to run Network wizard but encountered error.

I hope I have not forgotten anything.
Thanks
