I am trying to create a pivot table from the pivotTable
wizard and the blank table plus the field list after
specifying the appropriate query. This is as far as I
get.....

1. When selecting a field to add and the location
(filter, row, etc.) the "add to" button is not active and
cannot be used.

2. When trying to drag fields into the table there are
no regions delineated for deposit(i.e., filter field, row
fields, and column fields) as shown in the books and I
end up with just columns of data rather than rows and
columns.

Suggestions?

Have you solved this problem? I'm experiencing the same thing. There have been suggestions on turning the properties on/off, but I have yet to find that option..

Thanks

Cath

Hi Cathy & Bill,

I experienced the same problem with no drop areas and greyed out toolbars on my system and uninstalling Publisher also worked for me. However, another system in my office has newly installed Access 2002 and having the same problem ... except this system does not have Publisher. I'm not sure what to do next. Any other suggestions.
