Hi
I think I've got a legitimate problem here, but can't imagine that there is no solution.
I'm trying to present a percent variance column for subtotaled amounts in a pivot table. It's easy enough to show a column with dollar variance totals (they are just summed from a column in my source data table), but cannot figure out how to show that actual % variances between a subtotaled variance and my budgeted subtotals.
If I use the "sum" or "average" function on the % variance column in the source data, the value is wrong because each individual line item in the subtotal is not being weighted. I'm not exactly sure how the "% of" function in the field setting works, but it does not appear that I can used this on a subtotaled amount. I'm at a loss.
Any suggestions short of hard copying my info to a mannually created table would be appreciated.
