I have a spreadsheet with 2 columns and 30000 rows.

Column 1 contains a date
Column 2 contains my customer names

Can a pivot table show me for each date, the count
of "Unique" customers ?

Thank you in advance.

Only if you use a help column with help formulas..

If you name both columns, say DATE and CUST, select
TOOLS, PIVOTTABLE, and follow the wizard. Show DATE as
the column field and DATE as the row field. Drag the date
field to the data area and ensure it is set to "count".

it's from Dave Petersson, he is off cooking lut fish at the moment
but he'll probably return in a few hours <g>

Thanks Niall. This does not seem to work. PIVOT Wizard
does not allow me to have Date as both the row and column.
