Pivot Limitations

Does anyone know the row limitations to a Pivot table? Current Pivot table includes approximately 6000 rows. Trying to add additional rows but receiving a "too many rows to update" error

Hi
search the Excel help file for 'Specification' and choose 'pivot
table'. e.g. maximum of data entries: 256.
