Hi

I have a small home LAN consisting of 4 PCs. When the LAN is powered down
and then rebooted 2 of the PCs are not seen. If you ping them they time
out. However after some time they may or may not appear. All the cables
have been checked, rechecked and changed in some cases, all to no avail as
has the hub. On some occasions you can ping them once and they appear to be
OK and then ping them again and they time out. I have spent a couple of
days trying to short this with no result, other than I now have 3 PCs
working, but am afraid to power them down. It may be that I need to change
some of the settings. At the moment the IP address's are automatic? Could
this be as a result of the Firewall, AVG anti virus etc?

Any help would be very much welcome.

Disconnect from the network while process Access data

Symptoms: you are disabled from the network while process an Access data. Ipconfig shows you lost the ip is 169.254.x.x. Rebooting or disable/re-enable NIC may reconnect to the network.

Resolutions: 1. Modify hardware settings.
2. Check the hardware connection.
3. Upgrade the new drive if it is available.
