Hi!
Please help. I have local network with 20 ps-s. Some winxp, some win 9x. One
computer with win xp sp 2 see everyone, but no one see it. Ping works only
from that pc which see others, but do not works from the other side. Guest
account is on, I have reset guest password, in Security options I don't see
anything wrong. What I can do, please help.

The error mesagge is:

Klara,

That's the account that you're using - it's activated, but not for network
access. It's a known problem here.

The error mesagge is ...You might not have permissions to use this network
resaurce. The network path not found. Sorry, I am confused i I made mistake.I
was visited your web site and now I do not know what to do.
I was enable Simple File Sharing, Guest account is enabled, Deny access to
this computer from the networks - Guest is not on that list...... Now, I am
going from the begining. Please, do not give up from me.

Well that's different. That's a name resolution problem.

If that's not a firewall problem, then look at the node type, and the NetBT
setting.

Look at firewalls, and other security components too.

Dear Chuck,

SFS is uncheck

In Security Options
Accounts: Guest account status Enabled
Network access: Sharing and security model for local accounts Clasic---

User Rights assign:

Access this computer from net. Everyone, Guest.....
Deny access to this computer from the network - SUPPORT_388945A0

NetBIOS settings - Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP and not checked Enable LMHOSTS
lookup. On the other machines is set on Default and checked Enable LMHOSTS
lookup.

Nothing happend. Ping works from that PC, but no one can see it. I changed
the cable. Network card seems good.
