pictures saving as art.

recently I was informed I could stop jpg's. etc. from being saved as art by
checking a box in Win XP. I did so and it worked. Now I have the same problem
but I can't find the right place to clear it. Temp files have been deleted
several times. this option is in Win XP, where. I don't use AOL, Help!
