pictures not showing

Hi

I have winXP and occasionally if I am sent an email, where the picture
should be I get a red cross in a box. Why can I not see these pics?

Are you online when this happens? Perhaps the picture is not embedded in
the message but is a link to a website. If you're not online, you won't
be able to see it.
