Pictures do not appear

Pictures ( Gifs,Jpgs) are not appearing on any webpages.
Instead, I see a white square with a red x in the upper
left hand corner. How can I get the pictures to appear?

On the web version, go to VIEW, SOURCE and see what link is applied to your photos.
There is a very good chance that they are linked to their original locations on your hard drive.

What web development software are you using?
 
I can't tell and I have no idea what web development
software I'm using. I have Kerio Firewall. Could that be
the problem? Thanks!

I have the same problem. I have gone thru the internet settings, firewall settings, norton, everything that I have encountered in the past. In win 98 you could right click on the red x but with win xp there isnt one
