I have XP Home edition. In the past 3 days, whenever I
go to a website, none/few of the pictures appear on my
computer. I use "System Restore" and it's back to normal
for a day, then it happens again. The only new thing I
have done is replace my mouse a day before this started
but I can't think that that has anything to do wit it.
Any suggestions? TIA

Are the pictures a JAVA script? You might have to
download the JAVA application to view those. If not, let
me know and I'll look into it some more.

I don't know (or even know how to tell if) they are Java
script. I've had the same set up for a year without any
problems so this is reallly irritating....hmmm, I did
have the Sobigf virus which I also got rid of just before
this problem started...could that be a factor? Thanks
for taking the time to respond!

You never can be quite sure what side effects a virus like that may
have: but a restore to beginning of last week, before it came out, would
remove that possibility.

Checks to make are in Internet Options - first in security, for the
Internet Zone, click Default and make sure the slide is on Medium - if
so, it is not the javascript matter. And in Advanced, make sure that in
Multimedia you are checked to show pictures.

THen Start - Run and run
regsvr32.exe shdocvw.dll

to make sure the viewer is correctly registered
