pictures best size when projecting?

I was wondering if there is a best size for pictures, when projecting? Does
pp automatically reduce the size in the presentation?
We are probably projecting 6' by 6' a little more or less. Would it be best
to have a picture 8 by 10" as compared to a size of 2 by 3"?
I assume the picture would be of better quality? Will it slow pp down
significantly?

The size of the projection screen is not all that important. Of more
significance is the screen resolution of the projector. If the projector is
an old one, and only capable of projecting 800x600 (800 colored dots across
by 600 dots down) then regardless of the number of dots in the picture, the
most you will get is 800x600.

Just like a monitor, the more dots that are available, the better the
picture might be.
