Pictures appear and disapper randomly in Word XP how do I stop it

I am trying to put a lot of pictures into a word document and they appear and
disapper.

I have set and reset options. I have reloaded Word.

While the documents prints with the pictures. I want to be able to see them.

Sounds as if you may need to update your graphics card driver. And possibly
lower your hardware acceleration.
