picture viewer and fax

when i went into my picture folder to view pictures, it
shows the icon instead of my thumbnails. and also when i
doubleclick on the picture to open it it does not open.
i have checked and my gif's and jpeg files are set to
open in microsoft picture viewer and fax, but it wont
open can i re install the picture viewer and if so how i
didn't get a recovery disk with my computer.

nevermind was able to fix it when i found answer in
another post.
