When preparing a presentation with PowerPoint 97 ideally
what is the size the picture should be before it is
placed in powerpoint?

4 x 6? or similar

They were taken with a digital camera are very large 26"
x 26". I assume they must be cropped rather than resized?

Thank you.

Crop in the viewfinder. Umm, sorry, that was a flashback. :-) Crop in your
image editor then resize the images....

Forget about inches. :-) A good/safe size is 1024 x 768 pixels. Then insert
them into Ppt (don't paste) and resize to fill the screen.

The object is to make the pictures the same number of pixels as the display
device. If your projector is 800 x 600, then that's a good image size, and
so on.
