Anyone know why I get a blank rectangle and a little small
box with a red 'x' in it instead of a picture sent to me
in the body of a forwarded email. The text and previous
headers show. I'm using OL2000. Thanks.

Are you using Word as the mail editor?

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, dr asked:

To further answer your question. Under email formating, I
have selected HTML. In that settings box I have 'none'
selected for Encode test and neither of the radio boxes
are checked for 1.allowing 8 bit characters or 2. send
pics from the internet with messages.
