picture folder does fuction as music folder and vice versa

I am having a problem with my "My pictures" and "My music" folders. When I
click on the "my pictures folder, it lists all the functions that have to do
with music, and when I click the "My Music" folder, it lists all the picture
functions, yet the folder icons are correct. somehow this got chanched
around. somebody please help me.

The folder type setting is stored in the registry, sometimes it becomes
mismatched. Open a folder. Click Tools, Folder Options, View, Reset All
Folders. Note that this also resets the customizations for all the folders.

If you want to reset the FolderType settings for a particular folder, you
may need to use Process Explorer or Regmon. See this URL for more

1. Open My Pictures folder from Start Menu or using Start/Run dialog.
2. Start P'Explorer
3. Switch the lower pane view to Handles, in order to find the 'Bag Number'.
Once you locate the Bag #, go to that key and change the FolderType
appropriately.
