How do I put a picture in the background of a pwpt presentation without the
size getting distorted? I have tried locking the aspect ratio but then it
only puts part of the picture in the background. Also, I have tried leaving
the program to do its own thing and the picture (which is taller than wide)
keeps coming out stretched to the whole slide size....it's driving me bonkers!
Thanks,
Britney

Britnet,

How are you putting the picture in powerpoint ?

Are you "insert menu > picture > from file"
or are you "format > background > fill effects > picture" ?

Cheers

First, follow the instrux here, particularly the AutoCorrect Options stuff:

Do this before using PowerPoint seriously

Then do View, Master, Slide Master then Insert, Picture, From File. Choose the
file you want to use then use Draw, Order, Send To back to put it behind
everything else.

Size it to taste using the *corner* handles so as not to distort it.
