Every time I right-click on a picture and select the option to send it as an
email attachment I am asked to choose it's size. Is there a way to set a
default size to avoid this step?
Thanks

Try using a different e-mail program? Or perhaps post the message in a
group for e-mail program you are using.

Hi Skip Davis,

Not sure if there is a method to set the default image size, but there is a way you can prevent the picture resize dialog from appearing, for all image types or for a certain file-type (say .JPG). This is done by setting a blank string for the "Perceived Type" registry value for the said file-type / file-class. See:

Disable "Send pictures via E-mail" wizard while using "E-mail this file link" in Common Tasks pane:
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/noimgresize.htm

Note: There may be some minor side-effects of using this method, though I've not experienced any problems in my system. In case of image preview problems, revert the setting by changing the Perceived Type to image. Or, type REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL in Start, Run dialog to regain the functionality.

By using the method above, I can disable the picture resize dialog.
But there is another problem.I can't use "Email the file link" for I use
Outlook Express as the emailclient program instead of Outlook.
How can I change this setting in order to use OE ?
Thanks.

Depends.....

Set Outlook Express as default mail client - Start/Run and type in:
MSIMN.EXE /REG

Restore OE to the E-mail List in Internet Options (Row 9)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits/restore_oe_client.reg

Restore Hotmail, Outlook and OE under Programs (Line 250)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

Reset OE for Send To , Mail To , Send Mail (Line 64)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

Email Page - IE/with clickable link (Line 60):

/taskbarplus!.htm

Thank you very much, Kelly.
But the method of "Running Msimn.exe /reg" does not work.
It can't set OE as the default email client.
I must manually change the setting in Internet
Options.
