picture attachments in messages

I've recently moved from Outlook Express 6 to Outlook
2003. In OE, picture attachments were always shown in
message bodies. However, in Outlook 2003 pictures
attachements never show in the message body. Is there a
way to change this? Thank you.

I'm sure there is a reason for it, but you'd have to ask the designers.
Since it's not "broken", it's difficult to "fix" it.
 
I have no idea the reason and since they don't consider it broken, it won't
likely get fixed.

There is some VBA code floating around the net that you can use to make it
easier to view images (start at outlookcode.com) that you might be able to
use depending on your version of Outlook. You may be able to adapt it for
other file types as well.
