Picture appears in Normal view, but I can't print it.

If it appears in Normal view, then it's In Line With Text, not in the
drawing layer, and therefore not a "Drawing object." It might conceivably be
formatted as Hidden (with Hidden text displayed in Normal view but not set
to print).
