Photo file #'s wrong

When I switched from slide show to thun=mb nails the file #'s got mixed up,
these are family pics for a gift, PLEASE HELP>

If your files start with a number, then the order you seem distraught about
should be as follow (0, 1, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 2, 3, 4,
5, 6, 7, 8, 9, etc.). This is what you want to change. If you have less than
99 pics and the filename starts with the number, add a zero to the one digit
numbers and they will be in order when displayed ( 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06,
07, 08, 09, 10, 11, etc.). This is what you want.
If you have more than 99 pictures, add two zeros to all one digit numbers
and one zero only to all two digit numbers (001~009, 010~099) and all should
be well, if, of course, I have fully understood your question.

I hope this is your solution, because Christmas is only hours away.

Write back here is this does not help, we'll get it right somehow on time
for your deadline.

When I click on a thumb in slideshow it displays a different larger photo.
I scanned a photo to a new main folder, cropped it saved it to an original
folder, then modified it and saved that as an "a" copy to a modified folder.
So I am in a main folder with 2 sub folders.

In the "main" folder, you have two subfolders. Now, there are six different
ways to display your files in a folder from the View menu.
Thumbnails
Tiles
Icon
List
Details

What I need to know from you is where you get "slideshow", because
"slideshow" can have different meanings. It exists in programs such as
PowerPoint. Please specify what you mean by "slideshow" so I know what you
are trying to do. Also, please give two of three examples of your pictures'
filenames, so I know if I understood your first question well.
