How do I prevent the photo I attach to an email from appearing in the body of
the email? I want the recipient to open the attachment by clicking on the
file name in the attachment line. Thank you.

Tell your recipient to set their mail application to read all mail in plain
text, Tools>options>read tab.
Try it, set yourself to plain text, and send yourself a small .jpg photo etc

Only safe file extensions are included in the body of a mail.

You have your keyboard set to use English US (if such a language exists?)
Change it to English UK, at control panel>classic view [top left]>regional &
language.

Zip the file first.
Any such setting has to be made on the receiver's end.
