Hello, I have Outlook 2003 sp1 as a stand alone program. I have Office 2000
sp3 with out Outlook 2000 installed. I use Outlook 2003 sp1 for my email and
appointments. I read and was told there is an AntiPhishing filter out for
Outlook 2003. When I went to try and get it the info said the download was
for Office 2003 sp2. Is the antiphishing filter only for Office 2003 or is
it available for the Outlook 2003 stand alone program. Thanks for any help
or advice.

I think if you install Office 2003 SP2 it'll upgrade a standalone OL2003.

Thank you both very much for the very quick reply. I did try to install the
upgrade twice and both times it did say it was checking and then said it
would install the upgrade. The download worked and I tried to install it.
The window opened and the green bar showing progress went to completion but
then it said upgrade failed. And another window opened wanting to send a
report to Microsoft. I did not sent the report because I do not have Office
2003 only Outlook 2003. It is on XP Pro sp2 computer and of course
registered and activated. Any other suggestions? And thank you so much.

Which update did you try to apply? (The 50MB client or 104MB FullFile one?)

You should let it send the error report to Microsoft because it is possible
that once it finishes, it will take you to a page of things to try to
correct. In any event, without knowing what the error message is for the
failed install, the best I can say is to take a look at the *.log files
created in the Temp directory to see if you can determine why the update
failed.

Thank you for the info, I will let it send the error to Microsoft. The
update I tried was only a little over 3 MB. I used the "Check for Updates"
in Outlook 2003 under Help on the main menu. It took me to Office updates
and that is what came up. I maybe need to try another update location. There
was no reference to a 50 MB client or 104 MB FulFile. I am on cable so
downloading that size is not problem. Is there another update site I should
try or look for the larger downloads. Thanks again for your great help.

Hello, this is an update to my previous message. I went to the Office update
site and found the 50 MB and the 104 MB file. I downloaded the 50 MB Client
update, and just as you said it updated my Outlook 2003 sp1 to sp2 and it
also put the new filters for phishing in and there is a new checkbox in the
Options window for Junk E-mail options under the Options tab. So all is
updated and working fine so far, thank you very much for all your help.
