About 2 or 3 months ago, I noted that the Outlook status bar states that it
is sending email, but when I check the outbox, there are no messages there.
Have checked my system using several virus checkers etc. No viruses.

Using XP professional, Office 2003 on a Dell inspiron 600 m.

Any ideas on how to stop this?

It may be a read receipt. Try this to see if it helps:

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

Much thanks. I think that you've hit it on the nose. I connect to two
different ISP's: one at home and one at work. These messages tend to occur
at work and will disappear, when I connect at home.

Will the solution listed below, change all the returns to a different server
or can I limit it to just certain messages?

Lucian
