i was wondering is it safe to delete all the phantom drivers from the DEVICE
MANAGER? There are a couple that I used for my USB devices but all the other
ones I have not used. Its just there cluttering up space. Will it damage my
CPU? thanks

Disable them rather than delete them. see how that works for awhile
then delete.

Run ERUNT first

and then a restore point so your covered.

Deleting the drivers certainly won't hurt the CPU.
However, there is really no telling how XP will react.
Surely the prudent policy is to disable the drivers as another poster
suggested.
