Phantom CD drive in 'My Computer'

I'm showing two CD drives under 'My Computer' when in fact only one is
installed.
Double clicking on the one that doesn't exist gets me the 'Insert disk'
window.
Properties/Hardware only shows the one that exists and NOT the phantom.
The CD/DVD drive that actually exists is working fine.

How can I remove the non-existing drive from 'My Computer'?

it is an artifact of an Alcohol 120% install. In Device Manager->SCSI and
RAID controllers, uninstall a device called “A347SCSI SCSI Controller,†the
phantom CD/DVD will disappear.
It will return again at startup if you don’t delete the drivers. Delete the
files “a347scsi.sys†and “a347bus.sys†from c:\windows\system32\drivers.
Reboot

No, I don't think that's it.
There is no “A347SCSI SCSI Controller†anywhere in Device Manager and no
“a347scsi.sys†or “a347bus.sys†anywhere on the system.
What else can it be?

Has someone sneakily plugged a USB connected CD drive into your PC? If
so, I'll have it if you don't want it. :-)
