XP Pro here, using the 'Classic Start Menu from earlier versions of
Windows.'

I cannot get it to stop hiding the programs, instead of displaying the whole
program menu. Makes me crazy!

Right clicking on the menu bar and seeking 'properties' gives me no choices,
even under advanced, to uncheck 'show recently used programs' or anything of
the sort. It just wants to default to that and won't let me show my whole
menu like I want it to.

what am I missing? ;-(

Thanks!~

You didn't look far enough!

- Right-click on the taskbar.
- Select Properties.
- Select the Start Menu tab.
- Click the Customize button.
- Scroll all the way to end of the options list and there it is, "Use
Personalized Menus".
- Disable it (uncheck it).

Funny! I did indeed see that, and it was checked. So I figured that meant
it was set right! Of course, I could have unchecked it and tried it that
way but nooooo

Thanks again

I thought your post asked to get RID of personalized menus rather than
USE them.
