Am trying to access the personal web manager. Have searched for information
on Microsoft's site, but everything there points to Windows 2000. I have
Windows XP. Is the web manager redundant in XP? Any help appreciated.

If you are talking about a web server, if so, you must be running Windows XP Pro and have installed
IIS 5.1 from the Add/Remove Windows Components and the FP extensions installed.

Thanks. Have installed your suggestions and installed the ftp service. What
we really want to know is, what replaced the personal web manager in XP pro,
as this option is no on the list in the IIS.

The default web site is created when you install IIS, if you need to manage IIS, go to Control Panel
| Admin Tools | IIS MMC

That used to be the thing to manage the old PWS back in Windows 98 days. As
you say it's equivalant now is the IIS MMC.

Ok, never used the PWS, always had a regular server.
