There are many ways,
1. Right click on the root of the folder and select close
2. File-.Data File Managment->highlight the file and select Remove.
3. Close Outlook and rename the .pst files you do not want active in your
profile.
You failed to say whether these are files you created, ones you don't know
how they were created, or if they are archive files. The more information
you supply upfront, the more precise an answer we can give you.
