I have set up a network thru my hub however, even though I have password
protected my computer, I can still access my computer from others on the
network without ever having to enter a password. I use XP Home.

Thank you

Is the username(s)/password(s) the same on the other computers?

No, they are not

Okay - when you setup the shares, did you leave the permissions open?
Meaning "Everyone" has rights to the shared directory. If so, that would be
your answer. Everyone means.. well.. Everyone.

heres the thing. When i set up the shares on my harddrive, i dont HAVE a
choice for who can get it. Under the shares tab, all i have is "share this
folder on the network" which is checked, and then "allow network users to
change my files", whcih is UNchecked. I have nothing else....thats what is
so peculiar about this
