How do I get permission to delete a file ?
Vista ultima

Start...All Programs...Accessories...right click Windows Explorer and click
Run as Administrator

What prompt are you getting? If you are an adminstrator just confirm the
delete. If you are a standard user you may need the administrator
credentials.

also, the file could be locked, because it is still in use by another
application. Try deleting immediately after a re-boot.

You have my permission.

Until you discover the cause of your problem, try opening your Folder and
delete the files then delete the empty Folder. This may seem to be a sloppy
way to get it done but I've had to do just that when I was pressed for time.
I am the administrator on my computer, but sometimes I have trouble getting
"Permission" to delete a Folder when I'm working with Folders and files from
an external HD that were created on my other computers.
