How do you change the settings to allow "save as" on your
cdrw. This is driving me up the wall. I can't get to old
files or even ones this one writes. Somebody please help!

What software are you using? Just XP's built in burning features? If so,
what you wish to accomplish can't be done. XP does not support "packet
writing" on its own. Packet writing is what allows the operating system to
treat a CD-RW disc just like any other disk, with the ability to add, save,
delete, rename and etc. XP's built in features only allow you to write the
entire contents of the CD, then the CD is closed and no further writing is
possible. You can reformat CD-RW media, but not add to it.

You will need 3rd party software such as InCD, part of Nero or Direct CD,
part of Easy CD Creator. There are other 3rd party programs that accomplish
the same thing.
