Permantly deleting emails, without it going to "deleted Items" fol

Every time I delete an email I have to go to the deleted folder list and
delete again. I would like to delete them once. I know I can delete the
items in th e Deleted Items folder, but that is when exit.
 
You can empty the Deleted Items folder whenever you choose. To bypass that
and hard-delete an email, making it unrecoverable, press shift + delete.
 
I have the opposite problem. When I select "delete", the item does not go
into my deleted folder. I gets hard deleted. I can not find anywhere to
stop this. Please Help. Thanks.
