mI can't access anything in Outlook. (The only way is to revert to an older
verson of Outlook.pst). Is there any way of fixing the file or any I going to
have to loose the email / calendar / address book items since my last backup
6 months ago??? SCANPST.exe says it has errors, but does not fix the file so
it will open. The hangup appears to be an error in red flagging an email that
won't let the top of the list email load in the preview pane.

What version of Outlook are you using?
Did you run scanpst.exe more than once, until it doesn't find any further
errors?

Thanks for your response.

I opened Windows Mail and imported from Outlook (and deleted the one email
that froze up Outlook when flagging it). Then I put my old backup of
Outlook.pst in Outlook, deleted all emails, and imported the emails back from
Windows Mail.

Cont. - So have Outlook working again, other that my calendar and probably
the address book are old, but that's no problem for me.

That doesn't really solve your problem. Did you want to troubleshoot further
or are you satisfied with working around it?
