period+spacebar=file drop down menu? Why?

I have Windows XP Home Edition, and in MSN messenger, Word, andything that i
have to type in, whenever I put a period then a space (which covers
everything that one would type) the "file" drop-down menu drops down, and i
have to pause from my typing and put my cusor back to where I was typing.
This is driving me crazy! Can you help?
 
FWIW, this is not a standard keyboard shortcut.

As Suzanne stated, this isn't a built-in shortcut. You can check for the
presence of some keyboard shortcut added to your system using the shortcut
organizer from http://www.chriswoodman.co.uk/Shortcut Organizer.htm. (This
utility will let you delete the shortcut if you find it.)
