Performance problem

I've noticed that Microsoft Antispyware (MAS) causes a considerable
delay in the launch time for Windows Explorer. With MAS running, the
launch time is an intolerable 2-3 seconds. When I shutdown MAS, the
launch time returns to nearly instantaneous.

Two to three seconds, thats fast. My experience so far is 5 - 10 mins. No
instantaneous launches either, you should be happy. It is still in beta, so
there is possibility the code is not fully optimized for performance.
Remember, Microsoft bought the company a month ago, so you should see a lot
of changes to the product in the near future.
