Hello,

I finally have my Axiomtek 300 mhz Geode processor running with XPe, .Net
1.0, IIS, Dual NICs, 256mb ram, and 20gb TravelStar HD. I am finding that
the performance or my .Net application is just horrible. Just wondering what
other people are finding out there with similar specifications for their
boards? Don't know if we are doing something wrong on our end?

Obviously, our application running on a standard XP Pro workstation is just
fine.

We are using the following board:

If this board simply can't run .Net applications ... anyone have other
suggestions?

Thanks,
Mark

hi,
i used axiomtek 84510 board before. Is true that this performance is not
that upto standard..i think this board is only suitable to run headless
application without using .NET framework. Now i found that Axiomtek has
another board that might be more suitable for you , ask for SBC84600 from
your local distributor

Thanks for the feedback. I had a conversation with another manufacturer that
was saying Microsoft recommends at least a 500MHZ processor for Windows XPe
on an embedded device. Nothing we have done with the Geode 300MHZ has
helped. We are now looking at the VIA Eden boards that come in flavors of
400, 533 & 677 MHZ. The only problem is that once you start getting into the
533, I think it is on the edge of requiring a fan.

Regards
