I know my mailbox is not full, it's a brand new computer and i maybe have 10 messages. People sending me email get the message yet I don't get any such message on my end. Where can I go to see if I'm actually out of space and/or increase the space? Help anyone.

That message has nothing to do with Outlook. You have several
mailboxes, one is on your mail provider's computer and one is managed
by Outlook on your computer.

Normally when you make a connection and "send/receive" email, your
computer connects to the mail server and downloads a copy of your new
mail. Normally, your computer then tells the mail server that it is
okay to delete the messages from the server.

It's possible that your new computer is set so that it does not delete
the messages from the server. So your mail box is full and causes the
bounce messages when other people write to you.

On Outlook 2000, here's what I suggest:

- Click Tools, Accounts.

- Under the Mail tab, click the account you're checking (there might
be just one), and click Properties

- Click the Advanced tab and see at the bottom, under Delivery.
Remove the checkmark by "Leave a copy of messages on server".

This is the simplest solution, but there might be something else.

What type of account do you have? Exchange? POP? IMAP?

Well, Outlook and Outlook Express aren't the same thing. Ask Outlook
Express questions in an Outlook Express newsgroup.

Is there a way to view your message store on your ISP's POP server via a web
interface? If so, that may tell you whether or not messages are remaining
in your message store. If not, try using http://www.mail2web.com/ to see if
there are any messages there. If you find them, delete them and see if
people still get that error.
