Pentium M???

I just received a replacement Gateway notebook for my defective one. My old
one has a sticker on it that said Pentium 4, the new one says Pentium M.

What is that?
 
Thats means they sent you a different computer in the place of the one you
sent back. In my opinion the Pentium M chips are cetter. They consum much
less of your battery then a Pentium 4. But they sent you a different
computer and NOT the one you paid for. Contact them for help/support with
the issue.

Right click on My Computer. In the general tab on the lower right side of
the window you will see the processor, Speed and Memory installed as Pentium
M... Next line 2.39 GHz (Speed) and the line about support information (if
present) is the amount of RAM installed.
 
A bit confused...what is the difference between Pentium M and Centrino?

How do I know if my new notebook even has integrated wireless?

The Centrino includes WiFi (Wireless Internet) access built in. The Pentium
M doesnt.
 
Are there any downsides to the Pentium M?

Is the Pentium M only for notebooks?
