I have a peer to peer network set up in my home. I have 2
laptops with wireless connections and 2 desktops. We are
running XP Home (one laptop) XP Pro (the desktops) and Win
2000 Pro (the other laptop). One of the desktops is not
function on the network properly. It can access the other
computers but can be accessed. I have verified that the
network settings are correct and that their are shared
folders etc. I have run the Network Setup wizard mutiple
times. Each time it seems to run properly. Yet anytime a
computer tries to access I get the error message, This
computer is not accesable. Is there anything that I could
be overlooking? I have run the troubleshooting wizard in
the Help and Support Center and it was of no help.
Everything that it suggested I had already tried a number
of times.
To be quite honest I have no clue how long this has been
an issue. My Husband commented that he could not reach my
desktop off his laptop. We did not worry about it till I
got my laptop last night and can not save to my desktop's
hard drive or print to my printer.
