I remember back close to 00, I use to play a game (starcraft for those that
are interested). One of the multiplayer options was that you could Modem
connect with another person. You would punch in there LAN lin number, that u
call them to talk on, and press dial. It would call their home phone and
there modem would answer. THe modems would then squark a bit as they do and
wala you had a connection and could play each other through this network -
free of any isp charges.
My question is is there a way to get windows XP to do the same thing without
going through this game. Are you able to put 2 computers in a network with
Dialup modems in anyway at all? My household has 2 lanlines so really i shud
be able to connect 2 computers with this game. Is there a way to get windows
to do it itself?
Thanks heaps for any feedback
