Peachtree conflicts

I am using Peachtree Complete Accounting 2004 with Windows XP Professional 2002. Periodically after updating XP via the internet, the update will cause my Peachtree program to freeze when trying to exit the program. To resolve the problem I must restore my computer to a date prior to the update. Any suggested fixes would be appreciated.
 
What does Peachtree have to say? After all, it's their software? Did you
check to see if the version is XP Certified? What about what hotfixes are
required, either from MS for XP or Peachtree for the Accounting software?
Always, when you are having problems with just one application, its best to
consult the manufacturer of that application first, by checking the support
page on their web site.

Sorry for the long delay in response as I thought I had things wroked out. To answer your questions, yes I have approached Peachtree but they are very difficult to work with. Despite the fact that I bought the SW in Jan/04 and had this problem out of the box, they contend that the problem is Microsofts. In fact I have found that it is caused by a conflict with windows hotfix numbers Q810577, Q811493. When I first spoke with Peachtree I was told it was a small isolated problem. After pressing a little harder I found they are trying to develop a patch. Do you have any idea what hotfixes Q810577, Q811493 do?
