Excel can't save files directly to PDF files. You need a third
party product like Adobe's Acrobat (full version, not just the
free Reader), or something like PDF995 (www.pdf995.com) .

Yes, but you need a program capable of doing so...
A popular one is Adobe Acrobat (you need the full version
not just the reader). A link to a free one that had been

Yes. Excel spreadsheets (.XLS files) can be saved in .PDF format, but Excel
itself can't do it. The current versions of OpenOffice and StarOffice can
open .XLS files and write them to .PDF files. OpenOffice is a free download,
but it's BIG, so not a good idea unless you have a fast internet connection.
