I have received a PDF file with data typed using space
(not as a table) as shown below.

ART AND ARCHAEOLOGY 381.67 ARTARC 4530 COST
BRIEFING OFFICE/Interface 17.09 BRIEFI 4530 COST

Is there a way to import the file/copy the data in Excel
as viewed on the PDF i.e split into columns?

Thanks.

The simplest solution would be to ask the people who gave you the PDF file
if they can give you the data in any other format.

Otherwise, from the PDF viewer, select all of the text and copy it to the
clipboard.
Then go to Excel and use Paste Special to paste it into a worksheet,
selecting the 'Text' option in the Paste Special dialog box.
Then use the Data > Text to Columns menu option to split it up into columns.

sometimes it works better if you select a column at a time and copy|paste one by
one.

(but it can get ugly that way, too!)
